How can I upload my own personal avatar?

We currently don't support this feature, but you can link to an image for your avatar. In the UserCP click Profile then Options and under I have my own picture, check the box and enter the full url of the image.

If you don't have a website to link to send me your image at webmaster@hairbychas.com and I will upload it to hairbychas.com and send you the link.
